More work done on the Flames of War Late War Polish. These are intended to be from 1st Polish Armoured Division, 10 Brygada
Kawalerii Pancernej, 1 Pułk Pancerny, A Squadron and a couple of Regimental assets.
I've run out of small white stars for the flanks of the tanks so work will pause here for a bit and I'll jump over to the infantry component while I wait. I also need to dig up or fabricate some Firefly turrets and barrels.
In other news I'm packing up the house and moving to Japan for a while. The main impact here is that posts will be erratic for a few months while I'm getting torn down and reset. Many of the larger projects will be pushed to the back burner in favor of things I can work on more readily as I travel.
So what type of tanks are these? I'm not well versed in the armoured vehicles of WWII Poland and although these, superifcially, look like Sherman tanks to me, I'm sure you'll tell me I'm wrong. :-)

Simple but effective is my goal! Thanks Sendraks! They are Shermans as these are in the Late War. I'm currently working on the infantry element until I sort out a few more small white stars. I've seen that there are good models available for early war which do interest me quite a lot (I love playing the Minor Powers for some reason) but this group is actually a project for a friend of mine.
ReplyDeleteThis friend hosts our annual "Geek Fest" which is a group of friends that has been invading his house for a couple of weeks of painting and 40k narrative campaigning once a year for the past 5 or 6 years. I typically paint up a unit or character of some sort by way of appreciation for his hosting of the event. I won't be able to attend this year due to my impending move to Japan (I think I'm scheduled to arrive in Japan on or very close to the traditional date of the event)so I'm working to get this finished and in the post between bouts of frenetic packing.
