This unit or Raging Heroes Void Elf Executrix Troops took most of my day to assemble. They look great but the arm system took a lot of fidgeting to get in place. Once the first set got done and I understood the process better the rest came along a lot more willingly. These should function as Ynnari Incubi.
I have a Command Unit of these still waiting assembly but I've run out of greenstuff for the bases so they'll have to wait a few days on the post.
Speaking of the Post! Star Saga wave 2 showed up. Everything looks great except that one of the models has the wrong arms on... but Mantic have included the correct par of arms and it looks to be an easy swap. The minis come assembled so there should be painted Star Saga goodness in short order!
Wave 2 also included the MDF tile set and conversion rules to make the Warpath/Deadzone material compatible.
I like the expansion package format with each being in a unique box with a storage tray and additional components.
I somehow ended up with three sets of the Star Saga Screen. I think failed to notice that one was included with the KickStarter Freebies Bundle and maybe one with the all-in pledge... thaen I must have added an extra one making it three... oops! No worries! A few extra game screens aren't really a bad thing!
I'm hoping to get some more 3D printed terrain, The Order of Vampire Hunters Wave 2, and couple of Heresy Girls knocked out this week so I'd better get back to the desk!

Twisted! Guild of Harmony and some other things...
The Guild of Harmony is the mysterious fourth faction in Twisted! It seems largely to be composed of miniatures that predated the game and had been available for a while. They are wonderfully Steampunk and fit in very well with the other factions.
Trevor the Rat is a Kickstarter/Tradeshow Exclusive and I'm not entirely sure where he fits into the game but the miniature is fun.
I had a really hard time getting him to sit well and ultimately decided to depict him as having had an accident that severed his tail... oops! Ouch! Now known as Trevor the Rat with no tail....
This pair of Special Edition Dickensian Urkins game along separately from the box set and I had forgotten about them while I was doing the faction... happily re-discovered they can now join their fellows!
I love the Urkin Shooter covered in books! Appropriately named Library... its a super cool vibe... he even has books for armor~!
The Urkin Slasher is called Bedtime and was a little challenging but I was pretty happy with the tartan muffler and pink... or really faded red.. bath robe... the teddy bear turned out to be a gold color... possibly a clockwork version.
Probably my favorite pair of the set Ariel and Bastion the Crab! lots of fun painting cool colors.
I think they end up in the Guild of Harmony Faction but I have't located the cards yet so its hard to be sure! Turns out I seem to have forgotten to order the Monkey King so I'll have to remedy that!
Who wouldn't love a Steampunk Tinkerbelle!
She is a member of the Guild of Harmony and an accomplished mechanic in this incarnation.
She's very sweet but has a bad side... don't get on it!
Striped corsets bright colors... the fairy herself is a bit sooty but in a celebratory way!
Finally the day/night tracker for The Order of Vampire Hunters.
Back to the desk!

Raging Heroes Ash Tank Gunner and some Heresy Girl Assassins 3D printer experiments with the Snapmaker
Raging Heroes' Ash Tank Gunner was initially thought of as a torso only sculpt for use in a vehicle hatch but had the lower body included pretty early on in the TGG1 Kickstarter process. As a result she became useful in a Forward Observer or scout role. I have a few iterations of her so its possible I'll do a tank crew version of her but I really like having her in stand alone form.
She's painted like the Veteran Jailbirds in a signature prison color scheme. The orange is Reaper Lemon Yellow a wash of Secret Weapon Orange and Highlights of Reaper Marigold Yellow.
Ash also sports the Blood Red Rags of Rebellion that were popularized by the Jailbird Freedom Fighter Raven the Chainbreaker.
Next up are the remaining four proxy Assassins from the Heresy Girls Kickstarter 1. The Deathshadow was examined here although I think I forgot to mention the name of it. In a similar vein I've done one each of the factory resin model and a 3D print from my Snapmaker on hi resolution. The elements of failure are painted blue for clarity and also because I'll use these as active camo/ecm versions.
First is Black Phoenix which seems like a Vindicare proxy. The Snapmaker had a hard time with this one and I was unable to get the waist region of the torso to fill in so there is a big hole at the join. With glue its stable but the poor girl looks kind of undead.
The factory resin, as all of them are in this set, was cleanly cast with little flash and practically no cleanup required. The bases here are also from the 3D printer and the Snapmaker does good quality on them.
Ghost is next and was the most successful of the 3D prints. I used the alternate factory resin head and the 3D print version was not good. Even on this more successful print there is a lot of printer error and lost detail.
Ghost look like a Callidus Proxy and its passable in that role. Its also useful for any sci-fi assassin or operative.
Last up is Jade Devil. A clear proxy for Culexis psi-hunters.
This one was the most trouble for the Snapmaker and I got zero percent clear print. Nice stealth field effect but a complete failure as a model print.
Bottom line is that the Snapmaker can't produce acceptable resolution in 28mm humanoid models. I'm generally happy with its performance for buildings, bases, vehicles, terrain, and accessories like dice boxes etc... but I'll have to move into SLA printing to make .stl files of 28mm soldiers viable.
Not all 3D printers, or 3D printer formats, are good for all printing projects so don't expect nozzle extruded 3D prints to fill the ranks of your toy soldier armies at this time. SLA has much higher resolution and I'll get round to it eventually but for now I'll be relying on the printer for the more coarse applications where its pretty reliable. The right tool for the right job!
